Ticket vending machines

New generations of ticket vending machines allow the purchase of interconnected tickets (monthly travelcard, single tickets, multi-ride tickets, day passes, multi-day passes) beyond the starting zone to the destination of the journey within the interconnected system. In addition, most ticket machines are equipped with a card reader. This means that your SwissPass can be read and, for example, the validity of your travelcard can be displayed. You will find ticket vending machines at railway stations and sometimes on buses.

Third-party sales points

In larger towns and cities, as well as in the Appenzell region, a partial range of tickets (e.g. multi-trip tickets) is sold at third-party sales points such as kiosks, bakeries, etc. For further information, please contact the local transport company directly.
