1/12 Install the öv Plus app from the App Store or Google Play.
2/12 Let's start with the setup. Klick on «Los»
3/12 Choose your usage behaviour. The options are: commuter (Penlder/in) or occasional drivers (Gelegenheitsfahrer/in).
4/12 We recommend sharing the location in the app («Freigeben») Not only do you benefit from easier operation, but you can also use the Fairtiq function for simple check-in and check-out instead of the classic ticket purchase. You also can skip this choice («Später»).
5/12 Your smartphone may also ask for permission to share your location. This is a security function of your smartphone. The options are «once», «on using the app» (recommended) and «dismiss».
6/12 Would you like to be informed about important events concerning your upcoming trip («Aktivieren»)?
You can also activate this function at a later date («Später»)
7/12 You may be prompted again by your smartphone to confirm that you wish to receive messages from the öV Plus app.
8/12 Under «Complete profile» you can enter your SwissPass (optional) and specify your means of payment.
9/12 By placing the SwissPass, the SwissPass card does not have to be shown separately at an inspection.
10/12 Log in with your SwissPass login. Your SwissPass will then be stored in the app.
11/12 Placing a means of payment simplifies the purchase of tickets. You can also define your means of payment individually for each purchase.
12/12 «Mein Profil» (My Profile) offers further setting options, such as confirmation and receipt functions. In addition, profiles of fellow travelers can be stored for simplified ticket purchasing. The names of fellow travelers can also be entered when purchasing the ticket.
