Validity

Day passes, monthly and annual travelcards are valid from 0:00 on the first day of validity until 5:00 on the day following the last day of validity.

Regional travel passes are valid until the last scheduled stop that can be reached before the end of the validity period. If it is not possible to travel by direct route within the period of validity with a travel pass valid for up to three hours, the journey may be continued to the destination. This also applies to connecting tickets that have been purchased for a network ticket. Detours and reverse journeys are excluded in this case.

Example: For the journey Mammern - Vättis, a single ticket, all zones, is valid. This is despite the fact that the journey, including changes in Romanshorn, Rorschach and Bad Ragaz, takes a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes and thus 15 minutes longer than the period of validity according to the fare.
